April 2011 was the first time I got to try a hand a being a second shooter for a wedding in Athens, Alabama. Thanks to my good photographer friend, Carla McLemore Lawrence, we pulled the wedding off very smoothly with high flying colors, and got to try some new photography techniques. Carla is an amazing photographer and was great to work with. She is extremely professional and poised, along with beauty and class.
I didn’t realize how much running around and sweating a second shooter does to get all the great detail shots, and making sure the lead photographer’s job goes smooth. Makes me appreciate you guys all the more! I had a great time. It gave me a chance to explore my creative side by shooting detail shots, and getting to stand back some. Thank you Carla for letting Green Tree Photography help you shoot Sam and Kimberly’s wedding!
A few years ago, Chase was shooting weddings for close friends and family with me as his tag-a-long assistant. There were so many instances when I would want to take his camera and start shooting things I saw in my head. He ended up buying me a camera because I guess….. it was annoying him
It’s almost 2 years later, and we are enjoying this business as a team, a couple, and business partners. Chase is so driven and I admire so many qualities in him.
Kimberly Haney and Sam Gates’ wedding was probably one of the largest wedding parties and guest list I have worked with. They had so many friends and family there to support them on one of the most special days of their life! The wedding ceremony took place at First United Methodist Church in Athens AL. with reception following at the Limestone County Event Center. It was a gorgeous event, and we loved being a part of your special day!

Breathtaking bride-to-be!

Love was in the air with the Dogwood Tree’s in bloom, fabulous weather, an enchanting Bride and Groom, and such a sweet wedding party!

Marvelous dark blue bridesmaid dresses. Lovely contrasts with navy blue, yellow, and white bouquet’s!

CUTE vintage modern flower girl dresses the sweet little girls wore. love.

The vintage red Chevrolet has been in the family for years. They drove it from the wedding ceremony church to their reception venue. It was SO sweet!

Sam and Kimberly had their guests sign a cloth square to later make a quilt for their home. How sentimental. How sweet.

And thanks again Carla for being a good friend and a fabulous photographer =) You are one of a kind!
