One year pictures | Wesley turns 1!

Today is a very very special day. It’s not just any ordinary morning, it’s my nephew, Wesley’s one year old birthday!  One year ago today my sister Sara and her husband, Brandon welcomed their sweet baby boy into the world at 7 pounds and 4 ounces.  Not sure if you remember his newborn pictures from my post last May, but here he is big and all boy!  He has the best chubby cheeks for me to pinch and kiss!!  His little dimple on his right cheek will melt your heart to mush.  Sara is doing a phenomenal job with raising Wesley while Brandon is away on deployment. May we always cherish our military families and what they do for our country!

Words can’t describe how much I love this little peanut and how much I love my sister and their sweet family =)  So I will leave you with a short video and sweet pictures of his one year old portrait session this Monday morning. Happy Birthday sweet Wesley!!! We love you to pieces. XOXO, Jan & Chase

This was so beautiful and so sweet. All I want to do is go hold my babies tight and cry. They do grow up so fast!

Oh my goodness Jan, I cried through the entire video! I love it!

Photography workshop | Corpus Christi Texas

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fabulous Easter weekend =)  Chase and I had a very event-filled weekend hiking, celebrating Passover with the family, going to church Easter Sunday, coloring eggs with our sweet nephews, and visiting with Chase’s family!  It was so very busy, but absolutely wonderful!  Holidays are always a joy for us when we get to spend time with our loved ones.

On another note, we are very excited to share with you our very first CORPUS CHRISTI TEXAS PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP!!! For those of you that do not know, I am a Texas girl!  Born and raised and very proud to be from the great state =) The wind and flat-land is lovely! After countless requests for a digital photography class, we made a trip down to South Texas.  The hair and makeup artist was a little nervous the day would be too windy for the shoot, but it actually worked out to be very nice with Jessica’s beautiful blonde hair blowing in the wind!  We went for a vintage-bohemian bridal look for Jessica, and she pulled it off effortlessly.

We are incredibly honored to have the amazingly talented Tanya Dannhaus to help with the styling of hair AND makeup, Tara Atkins of Luna Bella for designing the Yellow Bridal Sash,  Kraft and Jute,  MPIX for your professional prints & products, and Loktah for their eco friendly professional photography products, and the ever so lovely Jessica Wommack for her modeling talent!  We seriously had a wonderful group of ladies that attended the class. One very talented lady actually branched out with her own photography business soon after the class =) We feel honored to have inspired and help such talented women!! For this, we are truly blessed =)

Southern barn wedding | Ashley bridals

Ashley’s bridals were taken at a local horse farm in North Alabama!  They are nothing short of glorious! The sun was perfectly glowing at the right time in the sky and graced us with some warmth for the cool afternoon breeze. It was a bit chilly once the sun went behind the horizon; but Ashley was a trooper in her lace Enzoani bridal gown and fabulous Vera Wang shoes baring the chill!  What do you think? Did she not look nothing short of amazing!?!?

Ashley, you exude style and class!

Her Enzoani bridal gown has to be one of the prettiest we’ve ever seen!

Congratulations as you journey into life together as a married couple!
