‘I will rejoice greatly in the LORD, My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest; as a bride adorns herself with jewels.’ isaiah 61:10
In honor of Valentines Day, I want to reach out to those of you who may feel unloved. You ARE loved. By your creator and Lord. Fairy-tales do not exist… in which I don’t believe, but i do believe in the eternal God… the lifter of our head and spirit. We are fastened by an everlasting love by the Lord Jesus Christ. His love for us was shown by his death on the cross; and is alive today!
In ancient times, to become queen, the only way was to marry the king. Isiah 61 so eloquently parallels the loving relationship we have between us and our heavenly Father. The enemy will convince you otherwise into believing you are much less than the beautiful creature you were designed to be. That you are not a child of God. Not worth being loved. Not beautiful. Not loved. My dear friend, may I convince you otherwise? Beth Moore states that ‘Scripture is the strongest bandage God uses to bind up the brokenhearted.’ In my dark days, I have always had the Bible to lift my soul and spirit, inspired by God with rich words of wisdom and love. God never promised life would be easy, but did promise to be with you every step of the way! You may not have a Valentine, but who needs a Valentine when you have the Lord loving you unconditionally? Christ is completely and utterly taken with you. Believe it. xoxo Jan
